Why Africa?

To Whom It May Concern,

Working in Africa is not easy. Roads get washed out by rain. Sometimes the internet works, sometimes it doesn’t. So why do we work so hard to provide local leaders with an education on everything from values and spiritual formation to trauma healing or collective development?

Because we believe the Gospel narrative is real.

That there is one large, grand story God is writing from Creation all the way through to the end of Days. We believe we live in a world where there is a God and he lavishly loves the people He’s created. We believe God loves each human being so much that He has chosen to radically pursue each one of us. And we have been found by God. We have been saved, restored to a relationship with Him despite our flaws and failures.

So now, we believe we have become a part of that grand story.

God is using us to make Himself known to others. We believe we now co-labor. We now work alongside our God and one another to make this story fully known to those that don’t know Him. We believe our role is to share the lavish love and continual pursuit of God to each man, woman, and child we encounter across Africa.

On this, we are all united.

Sincerely,
