Mon 1- Please pray for those at risk of contracting the Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Country Director Denis Hangi asks us to please remember those brothers and sisters who are suffering with the disease or mourning the loss of loved ones due to this virus.
Tue 2- Pray for Allan Knowles, Country Director for South Africa, as he visits and ministers in the US this month.
Wed 3- Pray for Jonathan Titus-Williams, Sierra Leone Country Director, as he has been ill this past month. Pray also for comfort as he mourns the loss of his brother-in-law.
Thu 4- Pray for peace in South Sudan! Pray for classes which continue in areas of great instability inside South Sudan. Pray for safety for our teachers and students as they gather to meet and learn the Word of God.
Fri 5- Praise God for the Spread The Word Golf Tournament which took place mid-September! Funds raised through this event will equip church leaders in Africa with local-language Bibles!
Sat 6- Pray for Uganda Country Director Geoffrey Ocan. Geoffrey has a board meeting this month to do strategic planning; thinking through the next few years. Pray for encouragement and patience and that the Lord would bless their plans.
Sun 7- Pray for Mezack Nkundabantu, Country Director for Rwanda and Burundi, as he travels home after visiting family and friends in the Stat

Mon 8- Pray for Tito Oturo, Country Director for Sudan & South Sudan, as he prepares to host a child trauma-healing workshop in December.
Tue 9- Praise God for our impact partner The Mocha Club and the artists who share our work in Africa with their audiences. Please pray for God to increase our Mocha Club membership so that we can continue to support our partners throughout Africa.
Wed 10- Praise God for the recent report of a young girl who went through the children's trauma-healing program in Congo in 2015 and is now teaching Sunday School in her church and sharing her testimony of healing!
Thu 11- Pray for Jonathan Titus-Williams, Country Director in Sierra Leone, as he serves the teachers and students of our program there. Pray for him and his wife Marian to recieve visas in order to visit their children who are students in the US. Pray also that the Lord will provide the funds needed for their son's education!
Fri 12- Pray for Country Director Asrat as he balances a rapidly growing program in Ethiopia. Pray for his local Board, that they would be the support he needs in this busy time.
Sat 13- Praise God for our Board of Directors who generously invest in this ministry with their time, talent and treasures! Pray for them as they gather for their quarterly meeting today. Pray with and for them as they are praying through and voting on our 2019 ministry plans.
Sun 14- Pray for the men and women who are part of our two-year theological education program. Pray for endurance to finish well and for God to use them mightily in their communities.

Mon 15- Pray for Tito, our Sudan/South Sudan Country Director as he serves the men and women taking part in our theological education program while living in refugee resettlement areas in Northern Uganda.
Tue 16- Leonard Chipangano, Country Director in Malawi, is planning to begin a new round of Handbook classes this fall. Pray for the two teachers and their students, that their eyes would be open to the ways God wants to use them in their communities.
Wed 17- Pray for Denis Hangi's preparations for a lay trauma workshop with some of his teachers in Congo. Pray for Denis and Mezack Nkundabantu as they will be teaching the material for the first time.
Thu 18- Pray for Mezack Nkundabantu, Country Director for Rwanda and Burundi, as he seeks to find some much needed help for his ministry. Pray that God will reveal who He has for this position! Pray for safe travels for Mezack as he visits students and teachers in Burundi this month. Pray that the students and teachers would be encouraged by their time with him.
Fri 19- Please pray for the staff at the Flame of Love orphanage in Goma, Congo as they love and care for the children. Pray for healing for Sister Alvera, director of the orphanage, as she is treated for cancer far from home in Italy.
Sat 20- Pray for the Women at Risk program in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Pray that the women who are part of this vital program will know the restoration that comes through a relationship with Jesus.
Sun 21- Praise the Lord for the many men and women interested in participating in our theological education program in Sierra Leone! Pray that the leadership team there is able to meet the needs of these prospective students.

Mon 22- Pray with and for Leonard Chipangano, Country Director for Malawi, as he continues to be in need of a new vehicle after an accident last year which left his totaled.
Tue 23- Pray for the local Board of Directors in DRC. This Board is working to register their organization nationally. Pray for wisdom and discernment as they work to finalize their governing policies and register with the national authorities. Pray for God’s favor on their work.
Wed 24- Pray for the women and children who are taking part in our trauma-healing programs. Pray for those who have been through the program, that they would continue down the path of healing.
Thu 25- Pray for success in the growth of New Dawn Mentorship Ltd. (formerly New Dawn Children’s Abstinence Program). This program aspires to expand its operation in ways that will generate income that would provide financial subsidy for the operations of the New Dawn Educational Centre.
Fri 26- Pray for Denis Hangi, Country Director in DRC, as he continues to serve the men and women in our theological education and trauma-healing programs there. Pray too that God would provide the funds to repair the roof of his church building.

Sat 27- Pray for Action Ministry and all the ways Peter Ochiel, along with his staff and volunteers, minister in their community. Pray for the funding of the new school building project.
Sun 28- Geoffrey Ocan (Uganda), Tito Oturo (South Sudan), and 13 of Tito’s teachers will be at a lay trauma workshop from Oct 29 - Nov 2. Pray for Geoffrey & Tito as they are teaching; for energy to engage day after day and for the teachers as they go through this material for the first time.
Mon 29- Pray for God’s guidance and provision for our ministry plans for 2019.
Tue 30- Pray for the local Board of Directors in Rwanda as they finalize their registration with the Rwandan government. Requirements for non profit organizations to register are more here than in other countries. Pray as this Board prepares their documents and showcases their vision that the government will be favorable.
Wed 31- Pray for the alumni of our education programs (theological, community development, trauma-healing) to continue to be agents of change and transformation in their communities.
