Meet Stanley Thomson, once an orphan in Malawi. Today, he’s giving back at the very same orphan care center – the Lizulu Orphan Care Project - where he once sought help. It’s the same place that you support when you go to the Fabulous Friends For Africa Valentines Dance.
Join us for the next three weeks for a Q&A with Stanley on how he is giving back and what he dreams for his future…
What was life like before you came to Lizulu Orphan Care?
Life was very different when I came to Lizulu. It was difficult. Being a double orphan – where my brother and I both needed care – it was hard for my grandmother. One day she approached the chief in our village to assist her to care for us. When we went to Lizulu Orphan Care, they allowed us and registered us in the program.
What impact do the Fabulous Friends have on your work and life?
I was a nobody in my society and without any hope for my future. The Fabulous Friends have really helped me physically and spiritually. I have seen the great manifestation of the love of God through the Fabulous Friends. I am really happy in my life. May God continue to show His mercy through the Fabulous Friends and others to help those hopeless and innocent souls to have a hope and a future just like I have been greatly helped.
