September 2014 Journey to Malawi with some Fabulous Friends to visit The Lizulu Orphan Care Project.
Nov 1: Please pray for all those effected by the ebola crisis in West Africa. We look to our Heavenly Father who is The Great Physician and Healer to meet needs and irradicate this horrible disease.
Nov 2: Please pray for Tito Oturo, our Country Director in South Sudan. Pray for Tito’s mother as she is very ill. Please pray for the family as traveling logistics within the country are very difficult.
Nov 3: Please pray for Jonathan Titus-Williams, our country director in Sierra Leone and his network who remain committed and entrenched in the media campaign and fight against the ebola outbreak. Classes remain stalled and fear is still very present.
Nov 4: Please pray for our Country Director in Malawi, Leonard Chipangano and his wife Josephine who just lost her father this past weekend. Pray that they feel the Lord's presence in this time of such sadness and for Leonard as he shoulders new responsibilities since Josephine is the first born in her family.
I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. Psalm 34:1-3
Nov 5: Please pray for the Ellilta: Women At Risk program. We celebrate the completion of the counseling phase for these women who are coming out of lives of trafficking and pray for their spirits and resolve as they enter into the skills training portion of their education.
Nov 6: Pray for Everton and the staff at Lizulu as they are in the process of building the rental income houses at Lizulu – for logistics, for people to fill these homes, and for the increased resources to invest in the local orphans.
Nov 7: Please pray for HEKO Ministries as they serve those living with HIV/AIDS. They have lost two of their oldest and dearest members this quarter and we pray for Peter Odero as he leads as well as for the families of these two strong women.
Nov 8: Prayers for our 36 students going through training of the Common Grounds Handbook in Uganda that this education provides an opportunity for the church to flourish in their communities.
Nov 9: Please pray for Irene Tongoi, the director of New Dawn Educational Centre as she works through the 2015 strategic direction of the school and the board and shepherding the education of future leaders of Kenya, that God may grant wisdom and favor and rest to her work.
Nov 10: Praise for the funds that will provide a vehicle, playground, and new rental income properties at Lizulu orphan care program.
Nov 11: Please pray for Leonard Chipangano, our Malawi Country Director as he travels to the U.S. for the first time. Pray that his time here will be fruitful and blessed.
Nov 12: Pray for the construction being done in Goma, Congo through our Country Director Denis Hangi, for the orphan care program with which he is working. We praise God for the generous donors funding this project.
Nov 13: Pray for our country directors as they work diligently to determine and write their 2015 strategic plans for how to grow and develop their ministry over this coming year.
Nov 14: We praise God for Thompson Station Church and their Global Impact Conference taking place this weekend. We are thankful for their partnership and support of our work in Africa and their invitation for our Country Director from Malawi, Leonard Chipangano, to speak at the event this evening.
Nov 16: Pray for our new course pilot in Ethiopia. Our country Director, Asrat Gizaw is busy identifying students and teachers for a new course on developing their community. We are prayerful that God brings the right students and teachers to further the work of the Kingdom in Ethiopia.

Nov 17: Pray for Everton and the staff at Lizulu as they build the playground for the orphan care program. We praise God for the funding for this project and the excitement of both the children and caregivers!
Nov 18: Please pray for the Coffee & Conversation event this evening. Pray that God would bring people to this event who will be inspired by hearing from our Malawi country director, Leonard Chipangano.
Nov 19: Praise God for all of those who offer continual support for African Leadership and our programs in Africa.
Nov 20: Please pray for the remodeling of 3 classrooms at New Dawn Educational Centre in Kenya, that logistics, costs, and timing all work out to successfully help bring a better learning environment to the school and these children.
Nov 21: Praise God for our recent partnership with Know Think Act. We thank God for the added programs and staff as well as supporters!
Nov 22: Praise God for the Fabulous Friends for Africa who have been raising support for African Leadership through their Valentine's Day event for 7 years. Please pray for all those who are already busy planning the 2015 event.
Nov 23: Pray for our program staff as they work –from across Africa and the US to create a strategic plan this fall for our program through 2015… that God will provide us with clear purpose and vision, and wisdom to build and execute His work in Africa
Nov 24: We praise God with everyone at New Dawn Ministries as they gets ready to celebrate the graduation of 40 high school students who would not otherwise have completed a secondary education in the slum of Huruma in Nairobi, Kenya.
Because of the generous support for the Spread The Word Bible Program, these pastors received a case of 20 Bibles upon graduation from the Common Ground Academy!
Nov 26: We praise God for Ellie's Run for Africa and their support of African Leadership for more than 10 years! Please pray that God will raise up energetic volunteers to continue this great event.
Nov 27: As we celebrate Thanksgiving in the U.S., we praise God for each of you who support this ministry prayerfully and financially!
Nov 28: Pray for our new course pilot in Malawi. Our country director is busy identifying students and teachers for a new course on developing their community. We are prayerful that God brings the right students and teachers to further the work of the Kingdom in Malawi.
Nov 29: Please pray for the vulnerable children involved in the Adziwa child sponsorship program. Pray that their needs be met physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
Nov 30: Pray for the work of the women at HEKO who are considering a new business venture to help these women whose lives are wrecked by HIV in their families. We trust God to provide for their needs but would love to see this opportunity come about.
