Tuesday 1: Praise God for providing donors through the Spread The Word Bible Banquet to help us purchase Bibles for our brothers and sisters in Africa. Please pray that all believers in Africa will have access to a Bible in their native language.
Wednesday 2: Praise God for the beautiful pictures and videos taken by Char Beck and Matt Wertz on their Mocha Club Experience 2.0 trip. Pray that these images convey the spirit of our African family and touch the hearts of sponsors.
Thursday 3: Please pray for Common Grounds in Congo. May God guide the hearts of the church leaders, including our Country Director Denis Hangi, as they listen to and identify the needs of their communities.
Friday 4: Pray for our Country Directors to gain approval and access to their visas so that they may travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to be with us for our Common Grounds Summit.
Saturday 5: Please pray for Church leaders who are involved in peace talks for South Sudan. Pray for peace to be reached as leaders meet in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Sunday 6: Please pray that God may touch the hearts of pastors considering joining our Common Grounds Academy, that they may be moved by the spirit to the ministry of the Lord.
"To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me." Colossians 1:27-29
Monday 7: Please lift up and continue to pray for our beloved teachers at the New Dawn Educational Centre in Kenya as they work diligently each day to cultivate an environment of growth and love for their students.
Tuesday 8: Thank the Lord for our partners at Project C.U.R.E. and Joy to the World Ministries. Pray for their continued help as we join with them to fulfill medical needs in Lilongwe, Kabudula, and Dzuwa in Malawi.
Thursday 10: Pray for the Mocha Club as they continue to raise support for our Common Grounds Centers in Africa.
Friday 11: Ask God to look with grace upon the women and children in our Women at Risk program in Ethiopia, that their lives may continually be blessed with love and happiness in their journey out of hardship.
Saturday 12: Please pray for guidance, direction, and a spirit of understanding as we finalize our plans to gather all of our Country Directors for the Common Grounds Summit later this month.
Sunday 13: Lift up the vulnerable children involved in the Adziwa child sponsorship program. Pray that their needs be met physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
Monday 14: Praise God for Geoffrey Ocan, African Leadership’s Country Director in Uganda, who has found the strength and determination to plant and grow ten different churches. Pray that he may continue to have the courage and tenacity to lead as he has in the past.
Tuesday 15: Pray for the students at the New Dawn Educational Centre, that they may continue to grow in their knowledge, inspire others, and participate in the continued renewal taking place in the Huruma slum.
Wednesday 16: Praise God that we have such wonderful partners in Malawi working at the Lizulu orphan care program. We pray that they may continue to not only change the lives of the vulnerable children that come through their doors, but continue to empower the families of those children as well.
Thursday 17: Please pray for the women and children who have fled as refugees from South Sudan, as they suffer in foreign countries due to insufficient shelter and food. Pray for the men who are left behind to defend their villages.
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God." Romans 8:26-27
Friday 18: Pray for Annie Downs and our dear friend Lizzie, who has been chosen to go on the Purpose Project trip with Annie and our team, as they prepare their hearts, minds, and plans for their journey in Africa next month.
Saturday 19: Praise God for the spiritual seeds that He has planted in Africa through our Country Directors, graduates, and students currently enrolled in the Common Grounds Academy.
Sunday 20: He is Risen! Hallelujah!
Monday 21: Please pray for the African Leadership team as we travel to Ethiopia this week for the Common Grounds Summit, for a safe arrival in Addis Ababa for both staff coming from America and Country Directors coming from across Africa.
Tuesday 22: We are counting down the days to Ellie’s Run for Africa, a race in Nashville that benefits the New Dawn Educational Centre. Please pray for the continued perseverance of the volunteers who have worked so hard to plan this race, that they may be rewarded with a successful event.
Wednesday 23: Pray for the continued development of our Common Grounds program in Africa so that men and women all over the continent can create sustainable change in their communities.
Thursday 24: Praise God for the all of the incredible opportunities taking place now and in the months to come that allow those with a heart for Africa to visit the people they’ve loved from a distance.
Friday 25: Please pray that the hearts of many may be stirred to join us in our ministry in Africa.

Sunday 27: Pray for the work of our friend Everton Kamangire who had the strength and determination to start the Lizulu orphan care project in Malawi. We pray that people who feel similarly called may find the courage that he possesses.
Monday 28: Please pray for our Country Directors currently meeting in Ethiopia, that great fellowship and shared vision will result from the Common Grounds Summit.
Tuesday 29: Praise God for our friends who have had the courage to take on Purpose Projects and for all those who donate to those projects.
Wednesday 30: Please pray that the Holy Spirit moves in Africa so that the hearts, souls, and bodies of many may continue to be healed and nourished.
